Dick was born and raised in Salt Spring Island, British Columbia and was called to the bar in 1983 after graduating from UBC Law School.  He has practiced law his entire career in Vancouver and has been practicing in our current location for over 20 years.

Dick, with the very capable and dedicated assistance of his team, handles a wide variety of files including commercial and residential real estate transactions, financing transactions for institutional lenders as well as for private lenders and borrowers, commercial leasing, drafting of commercial contracts, business purchase and sale transactions, incorporations of private companies including professional corporations, corporate transactions and reorganizations and estate planning, including preparing Wills, Powers of Attorneys and Representation Agreements.

Dick’s philosophy in life and in the operation of his law practice is to follow the Golden Rule – treat others as you would want to be treated.  Having followed this philosophy for so many years, Dick is happy to count a large number of his clients as friends.

In his spare time, Dick enjoys golfing, spending time with friends and family, going to the gym and reading. 

Dick is supported at home by his wonderful wife, Anita, and is the proud father of two adult children, Natasha and Christopher.
